Welcome To Thromboelastography!

Thromboelastography is a technique of analyzing blood sample right from the triggering of the coagulation cascade till the clot lysis. In this technique whole blood sample is added to the analyzer which records the changes in the clotting sample and generates a curve which highlights the various stages of the blood sample and indicates a normal or deranged coagulation also indicating the possible interventions.

Blood Product Transfusions

Red blood cell transfusions are used to treat hemorrhage and to improve oxygen delivery to tissues. Transfusion of red blood cells should be based on the patient's clinical condition.

Sepsis

Sonoclot have been proposed as a superior tool to rapidly diagnose and help guide resuscitation in blood products Sepsis. Secondly, derrangement in coagulopathy after the onset of sepsis is of paramount importance because of increased mortality after the onset of sepsis.

Cardiac Surgery

Sonoclot is a very helpful Viscoelastic Analyzer in cardiac Surgery as the Congenital heart diseases , Mitral valve Replacements , Coronary Artery bypass Graftings & many surgeries are very complex surgery which takes more time to recovery.

Liver Transplant

In India, we are at a stage when the liver transplant is now recognised as a viable modality to treat end-stage liver disease with 1-year survival post-liver transplant of over 80%, which is as good as in any other established programme in the world.

TEG 5000 needs significant fibrin polymerization before the curve opens and will FAIL to give results as in this case.
